LK Gregory self-performs construction drilling, blasting, and crushing operations throughout the southeast for Industrial, Commercial and Infrastructure construction and operations.
For Blasters applying in this role, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia and the Carolinas licensing is preferred.
Ability to effectively manage personnel, scheduling and equipment is a must.
Must be proficient in ability to read blueprints / pans.
Knowledge of Plangrid is preferred.
Expansive knowledge in patterns, timing, powder factors, seismic factors / impacts, blast reports and drilling will all be required and ever expanding.
As in every aspect of the job, Communication is a key factor in our successes.
For Drillers applying in this role, top hammer drilling experience is preferred in a construction environment.
Experience in operation of Sandvik top hammer drills is preferred.
Grading / Utility staking knowledge is a must - Storm, Sewer, Water, Electric/Duct.
Daily checks of equipment to maintain proper fluid levels is a must.
Minor maintenance will also be a part of this role to keep the drills operational.
Travel will most likely be required at some point - Most work is in the Metro Atlanta area at this time.
We travel as our client base expands.
Where our clients go, we will go.
Must be able to pass Federal background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical.
All positions will be compensated based on experience and ability to perform the job duties assigned.
Company vehicle will be provided for drilling and blasting positions after a probationary period.
You are expected to be self sufficient in cases that you are the sole driller on a project.
Strong communication skills are a must for all positions.
Bilingual is a plus.
Outdoor working environment in varying types of weather and temperatures.
Moderate physical stress and long hours often required.
Required activities include walking, standing, driving, bending, frequent use of hands and lifting of up to 55 lbs.
Use of heavy equipment for crushing operations.
